Suave city lawyer and political analyst Ahmednassir Abdullahi has said the break up of jubilee Party shows how much power ODM leader Raila Odinga wields in the current power matrix.
In a message posted on Twitter, Ahmednassir intimated the ouster of the Deputy President William Ruto’s allies from the Senate has left the president exposed to the manipulations of ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Comparing Uhuru with his predecessors, the Senior Counsel said the president had presided over the weakest administration that has also fallen short of achievement.
“With the BREAK UP of JUBILEE party, ODM and BABA are now the DE FACTO RULERS of Kenya. H.E UHURU will be BEHOLDEN to them and ODM will be calling the shots till the elections in 2022. Kenyans will never see a lame duck President like H.E UHURU…he will RULE but will not REIN,” wrote Ahmednassir.
The outspoken lawyer has in the past warned the worsening relationship between Uhuru and DP Ruto could plunge the country into chaos.
The relationship between the two leaders has been on the downward trend since President Uhuru’s March 2018 Handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Previously, the two Jubilee’s topmost leaders avoided public clash only allowing their respective lieutenants to fight in the open.
However, the ouster of Murkomen and Kihika is the clearest indication the president is fighting his deputy.
Ahmednassir further said Raila had successfully succeeded to alienate Uhuru from his former allies and now the later was at the mercy of the ODM leader.
“Hon Raila the master strategist has ALL the cards. H.E UHURU can’t abandon or play him. In fact he has no cards against him. Uhuru will do as Raila ORDERS him, for Uhuru can’t back to Ruto, the divorce order nisi having been issued…musyoka & mudavadi aren’t viable alternatives,” he wrote.

The lawyer further said DP Ruto should capitalise on any opportunities where he is publicly humiliated by the president, saying such situations would see him gain more popularity with the masses.
