Two police officers near Quiver Club located opposite Garden City at Roasters along Thika Road on Friday, July 2 shot at each other.
In the incident, a police constable, Festus Musyoka Kavuthi was left nursing severe injuries after being shot in the neck by Lawrence Muturi.
According to a police report, Musyoka is a constable attached at the Kasarani Police Station while Muturi is a Directorate Criminal of Investigations (DCI) officer at Starehe Police Station.
It is reported that the drama happened after Muturi found Musyoka with a woman leading to the shootings.
Musyoka is said to have shot his colleague first in the hand leaving him with injuries.
Muturi then angrily picked his pistol and shot the constable on the neck and later shot the woman, Felista Nzisa in the abdomen.
Nzisa and Musyoka were immediately rushed to Nehema Uhai Hospital for treatment. Musyoka was later transferred to Nairobi Hospital.
Muturi was also taken to hospital, treated and discharged and was arrested.
Their rifles were confiscated awaiting further investigations.
