Top Newspaper Headlines for July 15: Man confesses to killing 13 children, burying them in shallow graves

The country’s top newspapers on Thursday, July 15 reported on ft he much anticipated Kiambaa by election which has since been termed a supremacy battle between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

The dailies also reported on the ongoing Sharon Otieno’s murder with DNA results confirming that Migori Governor Okoth Obado is the biological father of the slain university student’s unborn baby.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has started procuring materials ahead of the 2022 polls as well as a possible referendum.

In an adverts, the electoral body invited international invited tender bids to supply electoral materials including ballot papers and referendum declaration forms.

Further, the advert informed that the contract will run for three years.

The mini poll has since been declared a supremacy battle between Uhuru’s Jubilee Party and his deputy Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Omar Lali’s brother, Quswai Lali told a Nairobi Court that he found departed Keroche heiress Tecra Mumbai on the spot where she had feel when he responded to Omar’s distress call.

Quswai deviated from his earlier statement where he had said that he found Tecra in the bedroom.

“I was surprised because it is rare for Lali to call that early. Since his place is around four minutes walk from my house, I got there almost immediately,” he said.

He added:

“At the end of the first flight on the staircase, I saw Tecra on the floor facing up. Lali looked worried and confused.”

A man was recently arrested after admitting to kidnapping and slaughtering at least 13 children in Nairobi.

Mastem Milimu Wanjala made the confession after police arrested him in connection with the disappearance of two boys in Shauri Moyo.

After his arrest, he gave a blow-by-blow account of how he captured the two boys before executing them in cold blood.

He later led police to where decomposing bodies of the two teens were found.
