Nigerian evangelist TB Joshua has died at the age of 57.
The Lagos-based man of God succumbed to an undisclosed illness on Sunday morning, June 5.

Confirming his death, TB Joshua Ministries said:
“God has taken his servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.”
Joshua was the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), a Christian mega church that runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos.
He was also was known for his popularity across Africa with 3,500,000 fans on Facebook and over 1,800,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Emmanuel TV was the world’s most viewed Christian ministry on the platform before it was suspended.

The YouTube channel was pulled down after allegations of hate speech.
