A Nigerian taxi driver recently sparked reactions after returning extra money to a customer who overpaid him.
According to reports, the Bolt driver returned KSh 103,000 to a passenger who mistakenly sent him KSh 105,000 instead of KSh 1,050.
In a post shared on Nigeria’s @instablog9ja, a man who identified himself as the driver’s friend wrote;
“So this my bolt friend drove someone to the aiport from sunny ville Abuja and his fees was around KSh 1,050. The guy now sent him KSh 1,050. The problem is instead of KSh 1.050, he mistakenly sent him KSh 105,000,” he stated.
“The bolt driver has called the man and refunded him his balance of KSh 103,000. Long and short of the story is that there are still good people in Nigeria. The money may look small but with the present situation of things in the country, it wouldn’t have taken him anything to run away with the money.”
The man further pleaded with Bolt to reward the driver for his kind act.
“Bolt should have a special reward for such drivers coz they represent them well,” he added.
