Popular personality Shaffie Weru has revealed that his friends abandoned him when he got fired from Homeboyz Radio.
Speaking on an interview with pastor Robert Burale on Switch TV, Shaffie insisted that people should know their friendship positions.
He said that those whom he thought would stand by him at the time he needed a shoulder to lean on abandoned him.
“Not everyone you break bread with, not everyone you associate with, not everyone you spend your time with will be the same people who are going to come to your aid when you need it or need them,” he said
He revealed that the situation was tough for him handle but eventually managed to cope up with it.
“All my life I have never had a situation so tough that could I could not be able to handle by myself. I have been able to overcome every challenge and every situation without asking for help. But this time things were really bad.”
Shaffie further added that the whole scenario taught him alot.
“There are many, actually a majority of the people who I expected to stand by me or have my back walked away. I’m not even judging, and I don’t have an issue with strangers, haters, or friends. I’m cool with it because, at the end of the day, the only time you will know your true value and connect with the people around you is when you’re in serious problems,” he added.
A wee after the renowned Radio host lost his job at Homeboyz Radio, he landed new managerial role at the Roya Group of Companies.
He explained that he bagged the head of Entertainment at the company and will be attending client meetings.
“This is my new hustle and here we do many things… it does a lot of investments that does a lot of investments and realtor business…
“This is my new hustle. This time round I am coming out,” stated Shaffie.
Previously Homeboyz Radio terminated the services of radio presenters Shaffie Weru, Neville Muysa and disc jockey Joseph Munoru, alias DJ Joe Mfalme with immediate effect.
The termination, according to Homeboyz Radio was informed by comments made by the breakfast team on Thursday morning, March 25.
Shaffie, Joe and Neville were accused of shamming a lady who was reportedly thrown off the 12th floor of Ambank House by a man she met on Facebook.
The presenters said ladies are too loose and available for strangers.
