Murang’a Women Representative Sabina Chege has been admitted to the Nairobi Hospital.
News of Sabina’s admission to the hospital was made by lawyers James Orengo and Otiende Omollo while appearing before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The Murang’a Women Rep was set to appear before IEBC to proceed with the full hearing regarding her remarks that Jubilee might have rigged the 2017 polls.
“The respondent (Woman Rep. Sabina Chege) is not in attendance today as she is indisposed and has been admitted in Nairobi Hospital on 16th of February and is currently still undergoing treatment,” Otiende stated.
He also presented a letter by Dr Erick Munene Muriuki to support the same.

Last week, IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati ruled that the case would proceed to a full hearing.
Chebukati submitted that Chege was wrong in her utterances, saying, all persons bound by the Code of Conduct should re-assure voters of impartiality of the commission and secrecy of the ballot.
“Indeed the question as to whether the commission has the jurisdiction to hear the matter such as the one before it has been the subject of litigation in the High Court
“The court upon examination found that the procedure followed by the committee and the decision rendered was well within its power,” Chebukati said.
