Model Dion Aggrey Okello, alias Rue Baby has gushed over her mother Akothee just days after graduating from university.
The model recently graduated from Strathmore University with a degree in International Relations.
In a social media post, Rue Baby celebrated her mother describing her as a single mother who single handedly fought many battles to make sure they lead a decent life.
“This day will forever be memorable to me my love Akothee. As a single mother who has managed to raise her children well in this generation you deserve all the good things mama
“I am proud to make you proud. Congratulations on your second degree my love. Thank you for the opportunity to study and finish well. I love you Akothee congratulations,” Rue Baby wrote.
This came days after Akothee celebrated Rue Baby after bagging her degree.
Through her Instagram page, the mother of five celebrated her daughter noting that being a single mother is not a disability, further terming her daughter’s graduation a success story.
“Being a single mother is not a tittle nor disability, it’s a story of a successful journey of a mother stepping up to own all the duties for both parents including the missing one
“To provide all basics needs for her children and creat an environment condusive for healthy growth of a child,” she wrote in part.
Akothee stated that she might be joking on social media but works on herself and her children off social media, further disclosing that Rue’s degree becomes the second degree in her household.
“I look like a joker but off social media I got my shit together. It’s the journey of a single mother for me. Today I will be very brief because I am very emotional
“Can’t believe I am on my Second degree with Rue Baby. All by myself. No one has ever asked if I need help, it all looked rosy, not even a handkerchief nor a panty liner,” she wrote.
“Congratulations my darling you made parenting easy for me ,you understandstood the assignment, you bring the child! Me being your mother. If God asks me for another bunch of kids, I will still choose you and your siblings.”
