US President Donald Trump’s brother Robert Trump has died, White House confirmed in a statement
A statement by Donald Trump indicated that Robert ‘passed away peacefully’ at a New York Hospital on Saturday night, August 16.
“It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace,” Donald Trump said in a White House statement.
On Friday, August 14, Donald Trump visited his brother in New York staying for about 45 minutes before heading to New Jersey for the weekend.
On Friday, White House announced that Robert Trump had been hospitalized in New York, with some officials saying he was seriously ill.
Donald Trump confirmed the news saying it was unfortunate that this brother was having a bad time in hospital, however, hoping that he will be alright soon.
“I have a wonderful brother. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time, from day one. And he’s in the hospital right now, and hopefully he’ll be alright, but he is pretty, he’s having a bad time,” Donald Trump said.
Robert Trump was a business executive and real estate developer.
He managed the Trump Organization’s real estate holdings outside Manhattan.
He also served on the board of directors for ZeniMax Media.
