The police boss stated that Harmonize reported the case to the police stating that those involved wanted to bring him and his brand down.

“Those arrested over the claims were Fridah Kajala, Paula Paul, Rayvanny and Baba Levo and two others. All these suspects were arrested, interrogated and release on bail,” Mambosasa said.

Mambosasa told journalists that the filed would be forwarded to public prosecutor’s office once investigations are complete.

“If the public prosecutor establishes that they have a case to answer, then they will be arraigned in court,” he said.

The commander also warned Tanzanians against sharing dirty pictures online reminding them that it is illegal.

“Let us respect the law. It is against Tanzanian rules to share inappropriate images on the internet. It is a grave mistake. You also become an accomplice when someone shares such a photo with you,” he cautioned.

He further advised artists to respect themselves and their work and stop misusing the internet.

“It has come to my attention that artistes have become notorious for misusing the internet. We have seen opposing factions trading insults online to belittle each other.

We respect artistes, and the music industry is doing well and has employed many people. However, it would help if you also respect yourself. Before you take a course of action, first ask yourself whether it is within the law,” he concluded.
