Rapper DMX dies aged 50 after suffering heart attack

Rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons passed away on Friday,April 9 aged 50 after suffering a heart attack.

The rapper and actor died while undergoing treatment at the White Plains Hospital in New York.

The rapper’s family released a statement announcing his demise.

We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” his family said in the statement.

His family eulogized the legendary rapper great warrior who loved and cherished his family so much.

According to the family his music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever.

“Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end. He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him. The family stated.

We appreciate all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult time. Please respect our privacy as we grieve the loss of our brother, father, uncle and the man the world knew as DMX.

DMX family also assured his fans that they will share his service once details are finalized.

The star was hospitalized since last week at the White Plains Hospital, New York after he suffered he suffered a heart attack at his home in New York.

His fellow celebrities and fans have since paid tribute to the fallen Hipo-hop legend.

My childhood and love for music would not have been the same without this man,” actor Chriss Redd tweeted. “DMX was easily my favorite artist growing up. I had every album, every ruff Ryder song, followed any artist he endorsed. Man….RIP the dog. There will never be another like him.”
