Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has been admitted at the Nairobi Hospital.
Confirming his admission, his family said he is in stable condition, adding that he was rushed to the hospital after complaining of body ache and fatigue.
This came five days after his five-day tour in the Coastal region to drum support for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
ODM director of communication Dennis Onyango said doctors advised Raila to go for two weeks isolation but clarified COVID-19 was not detected in any of the tests done.
“He says he feels okay, but the doctors cautioned that some of the symptoms need to be monitored,” Onyango said.
It was also noted that the handshake meeting between Uhuru and Raila set to be held at State House has been cancelled after the opposition leader was taken ill and advised to go into isolation.
