Queen Elizabeth: Britain’s 95-Year-Old Sovereign Tests Positive for COVID-19

Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19, Buckingham Palace announced Sunday.

The
Britain’s 95-year-old sovereign is reportedly experiencing mild cold-like
symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week,
the palace said.

“The queen has today tested positive for COVID,”
the Buckingham Palace said. “Her Majesty is experiencing mild
cold like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the
coming week.”

Queen
Elizabeth- who is celebrating 70th year on the throne has
already had three coronavirus vaccines.

The health of Queen
Elizabeth, who ascended to the throne in 1952 has been in the spotlight since
she spent a night in hospital last October.

 

At the time, the queen
who had been admitted for an unspecified ailment, was advised by her doctors to
rest.
