Police officer returns KSh 3.1 million recovered from fatal accident scene

A kind police officer has received praises after returning over KSh 3.1 million he recovered from an accident scene.

According to a police statement, the police sergeant, Kabiru Isah, attached to Kano command’s Motor Traffic Division (MTD) recovered the cash while conducting scene analysis after the accident.

According to Abdullahi Haruna, a police spokesperson in Kano, the owner of the money was riding on a motorcycle when he was hit by a trailer, killing him on the spot.

The man, according to police, had kept the money in a shoebox he had on his motorcycle.

While handing over the money to the deceased’s family, commissioner of police Sama’ila Dikko urged police officers and the public at large to emulate Isah.

Following his good conduct, Baffa Dan’agundi, the managing director of Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), rewarded Isah with KSh 26,000.
