A photo showing ODM leader Raila Odinga seated next to a Oxygen Concentrator has caught the attention of many sparking a debate.
The photo shared by the ODM leader on his social media pages showed him seating on a chair while reading a book with the machine placed on the left side.
Netizens spotted the concentrator with most of them worried about the leader’s health.
The photo was taken when Raila was visited by New York attorney Ochoro E.Otunnu.
“Books and doors are the same things. You open them and you go through into another world. This morning I received a gift of a book from New York attorney Ochoro E.Otunnu
“Mr. Otunnu relayed best wishes from DRC President Felix Tshisekedi and friends in the diaspora,” Raila captioned the photos.
A report by Kenyans informed that the machine concentrates oxygen from a gas supply by selectively removing nitrogen to supply an oxygen-enriched product gas stream.
It takes air from the surroundings, extracts oxygen, and filters it into pure oxygen allowing the user to breathe.
It is prescribed to patients who need constant oxygen while at home or while they sleep.
A medical report indicated that when the oxygen circulation in a patient is less than 90 percent in the blood, they’re put on oxygen to aid breathing.
This came weeks after Raila was diagnosed with COVID-19 and admitted at the Nairobi Hospital for days.
The ODM leader contracted the virus during his five-day tour in the Coastal region to drum support for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
