Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyiyi is mourning following the death of his close confidant Peter Odeng’ alias Storm.
Storm who served as Wamunyinyi’s communications officer was brutally murdered by unknown assailants in Bungoma town on Friday night, August 7.
According to reports, his lifeless body was found lying in a pool of blood at around 11pm in Sunrise estate where he resided.
In a statement, Wamunyinyi condemned his death and called the relevant authorities to look into the matter with outmost urgency and bring his killers to book.
“We spent the better part of Friday evening together before he left for his house on a boda boda at around 10 pm. Since he did not have cash, we had to pay the rider via mobile money. We have his details,” said the MP.
The MP explained that he got a call from a police officer who informed him that one of his staff members had been attacked and left for dead.
“I rushed to the incident scene upon which I found him dead. He sustained deep cuts in the head and hands, a clear indication that he must have struggled with his killers before they finally overpowered him,” he added.
Wamunyiyi added that Storm played a key role in relaying information to media houses on behalf of his office and Ford Kenya party.

“I don’t want to believe that politics is linked to his death. Police must get to the root of his death,” said the MP.
