Oga Obinna Replaces Jalang’o at Kiss FM

It is now official that Comedian Oga Obinna will replace Jalang’o at Kiss FM.

This is following Jalang’o’s exit from the Radio Africa-owned radio station to vie for the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat.

Obinna revealed his new deal with Kiss FM in an interview with YouTuber 2mbili noting that he was offered a salary that was six times higher than what he earned at his former employer.

The comic said that he would be paid KSh 750,000 per month.

“I have said it before, I will be doing this job for free but of cause with a small allowance to run around. You know some small allowances as you out it can be higher than someone’s salary

“Like for retired presidents, their entertainment allowance is about Ksh750,000. So you are saying my salary is equal to the entertainment allowance given presidents,” Obinna said.

Obinna who is a father of five also noted that he would never go back to his former employer insinuating that the working environment was toxic.

“I will never go back to my former employer even if they offer me a better contract than what Kiss FM is offering me. I am not going back to my ex, never

“You know some people are being paid a lot of money but the environment they are working in is not conducive. I would choose a happy environment ahead of a huge offer,” he said.

Jalang’o hinted at quitting media in a series of posts on his social media platforms.

The comic stated that he is about to hang his boots but before he could do so, he wants to pass the baton to the next ‘Jalang’o’.

“We are about to hang up the boots and take a new challenge. But we can’t just drop the mic… I need to pass it to the next Jalang’o,” reads part of his message.
