ODM’s Kamukunji Aspirant Alinur Mohamed Disappointed with Azimio: ‘I Sold my Property and Spent Millions’

Kamukuji parliamentary seat aspirant Alinur Mohamed has expressed disappointment with Azimio la Umoja over its decision to zone Nairobi County.

This was after the parliamentary seat hopeful was directed to shelve his bid in favour of incumbent MP Yusuf Hassan.

Azimio zoned the constituency as a Jubilee Party stronghold and in turn directed Alinur who was contesting for the seat on an ODM ticket to step down.

In a statement over the same, Alinur termed the move a threat to democracy.

“Unfortunately, Kamukunji Constituency has been zoned for the Jubilee Party making it impossible for the people of Kamukunji to have the leader of their choice. This is very painful, this is frustrating and it is a threat to our democracy,” he wrote on Twitter.

“I have been campaigning for the last four years, selling my agenda to the people and doing lots of activities to change lives in Kamukunji Constituency
