Nominated MP David Ole Sankok’s first born son is dead.
According to reports, the MP’s son died after reportedly shooting himself with his father’s gun at their home in Narok.
The young man who was a Form Three student at a school in Kericho died on the spot following the fatal accident.
Confirming the incident, Narok CCIO Mwenda Ithaiba said the student was meant to go to school but he did not report as expected.
“From preliminary investigations, we have established that the boy was meant to go back to school last week but he didn’t.
He spent the money that was meant for shopping and returned home,” Ithaiba said.
Ithaiba noted that the student shot himself shortly after a heated confrontation with his dad.

“It is at this moment that the boy accessed the family safe and reached for the pistol with which he shot himself,” he added.
