A Nigerian man was recently celebrated for returning KSh 270,000 back in August.
In a Facebook post, Olasupo Abideen narrated how the aforementioned was mistakenly paid to his account by his employer.
Following the good gesture, his story went viral on social media earning him a nomination at the Gani Fawehinmi Integrity Awards.
Abideen won the award and he was given a plaque on Friday, December 10.
He appreciated every one who voted for him noting that getting such an award is a reminder that there are young people in the society who value integrity and accountability.
“I dedicate this award to my parents-Mr and Mrs Olasupo for instilling that discipline to me since I was young and to every young Nigerian striving to make their lives better while maintaining moral decency
“Moral decency has become difficult to achieve today but we must not stop doing what is right,” he said.
