Nick Odhiambo quits Radio Maisha after 4 years

Renowned radio presenter Nick Odhiambo has called it quits at the Standard Group owned station Radio Maisha after a 4-year stint.

Odhiambo announced the news while presenting his last show at the station on Tuesday, June 22.

After a long stay in a Swahili station, the presenter also known as Papa Nick, said he would be joining an English station.

Reports indicate that the Rhumba host will be be heading to Royal Media Services owned station Hot 96 fm.

“Today’s my final Rhumba show on air after 4years at Radio Maisha. Did I ever think I’d switch to Swahili radio? Nope, but the opportunity came, and I took it. Transitioning back to English radio in a few days,” he said.

While at Radio Maisha, Nick hosted a Rhumba show dubbed #ClubRhumba alongside DJ Darius and DJ Works.

Meanwhile, Nick has already been replaced at the station by veteran journalist Titi Nagwalla who will be hosting a rebranded Rhumba show called RhumbaRepublik.

Nick joined Radio Maisha after working at Classic 105 for nearly 10 years where he hosted drive show alongside presenter Larry Asego.
