Ngirici Speaks on Regrets After Selling Family House to Popularize UDA

Kirinyaga woman representative Purity Ngirici has disclosed that her husband, Andrew Ngirici sold one of their family homes to popularize the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

Speaking in Kiamanyeki on Saturday, March 26, the Woman Rep sensationally claimed they sold their home and invested the money in the Deputy President William Ruto-led party.

Ngirici who will be contesting for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate stated that UDA openly betrayed her by supporting incumbent Ann Waigiru’s bid.

The Woman Rep noted that DP Ruto betrayed her after being ousted as the Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWOPA) chairperson in the National Assembly for supporting him.

“I sacrificed a lot for the UDA party but I was later shortchanged. Mambo ya kuchagua chama tuwache, let us think about individuals who will represent our interests,” Ngirici said.

This comes two months after Ngirici rebranded a building she had donated to serve as United Democratic Party (UDA) offices.

The building located in Kerugoya which had been branded with UDA’s yellow and green colors, logo and slogan on its entrance was painted white.
