Following the demise of Mzee Jackson Kibor, the de facto chairman of the imaginary men’s conference, Kenyans on social media are weighing on who should replace him.
Kibor died on Wednesday, March 16, at St. Lukes’s Hospital in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county, after a long illness.
The KANU era politician was using the medical oxygen since 2020 when he contracted COVID-19 and succumbed on Wednesday in the ICU after his kidneys failed.
With the several controversies that marred his life, including endless court cases, polygamy, young wives and divorces, Kibor was deemed suited to chair the men’s conference.
However, now that he is gone, netizens are mulling who will lead the distinguished organisation into the coming days.
Several names are up for consideration, including trade unionist Francis Atwoli, Twitter big wig Amerix, journalist Andrew Kibe, singer Samidoh and notably Omar Lali.
Lali, who came into the limelight following the untimely demise of Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai, seems to be the people’s favourite among the contenders.
Since the incident, Lali has been spotted with several women on the Mombasa beach, a controversy netizens presume makes him fit to fill Kibor’s shoes.
