Presidential aspirant Nazlin Umat has spoken on her soured relationship with Azimio One Kenya coalition flag bearer Raila Odinga.
In an interview with Spice FM, the presidential hopeful said the political woes that she is facing at the moment are tied to her declining sexual advances from the ODM boss.
To substantiate her claims, Nazlin spoke of an instance where Raila warned her against receiving him during his visit to South Korea because he was with Mama Ida Odinga.
“Do not come to the hall to receive me, don’t come to the hall to receive me because madam (Mama Ida) will be with me,” Nazlin recalled Raila telling her over the phone.
She noted that the day marked the beginning of her enmity with Raila who found it hard to accept the fact that she was not interested in him.
“That is where my nightmare started, Raila’s interest in me and my objecting to that or fighting him off is what has caused him to prosecute me until today, I have been arrested, detained even my range rovers have been confiscated,” Nazlin alleged.
Nazlin accused Raila of being behind the move by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) that sought to lock him out of the presidential race on grounds that she was not a registered voter.
She also alleged plans to frustrate her candidature ahead of the August 9 General Elections.
This comes a week after Nazlin disclosed tha tshe had made a request to the IEBC to have Raila barred from contesting in the forthcoming polls.
She accused Raila and his team of using President Uhuru Kenyatta and his office to promote his State House bid.
“Another issue I have raised is that I want Odinga to be barred because he has allowed himself to use the president’s office and Uhuru as his chief campaigner, which is in the public domain
“The President is campaigning, so is the entire cabinet and all civil servants. President Kenyatta publicly declared that he was going to be Raila’s chief campaign manager – these are electoral offences,” she claimed.
