Naliaka remembers Papa Shirandula with emotional tribute

Departed veteran actor Charles Bukeko, alias Papa Shirandula’s onscreen daughter Daisy Netia popularly known as Naliaka ha a remembered him with a emotional post a year after his death.

Through her social media pages, the actress made a post to honour Papa, showering him with praises further noting how much she misses him.

“You don’t know pain until you crave a conversation with someone who is no longer alive. Paps sometimes I just still can’t believe you’re gone. I miss you so much,” she said.

Naliaka also took the opportunity to console with those who are grieving following the loss of their fathers, noting that mourning a father is one of the most painful experiences.

“Anybody here grieving the loss of father, may God continually shower you with His love. Hugs️,” she added.

Papa Shirandula succumbed to COVID-19 on July 18, 2020, at the Karen Hospital, where he had been rushed to after feeling unwell.

He was survived by a wife and three children.

As earlier reported on, Jacky Vike, alias Awinja Nyamwalo also mourned the departed TV star terming him a dream maker.

The actress also attributed her success in the acting career to him.

In a lengthy social media post, Awinja recalled how Bukeko gave her a chance to act at the popular TV series.

“This Man, Charles Bukeko, #PapaShirandula, the first time he called me for the role #Awinja I remember I told him “No I am not good with accents but I know someone who can bring out the Luhya accent really well,” she recalled.

She added;

“I went ahead and gave him my friend’s number, Eh! a month later he called me saying “manze Vike I believe you can bring out this role really well, acha kufikiria accent sana kuja tufanye kazi,” so I went zile za Ah! acha niende tu I carry it as a challenge, and guys the rest is history.”
