The late former President Mwai Kibaki was laid to rest in his home in Othaya on Saturday, April 30.
The late Head of States interment followed a State Funeral which was fully conducted by the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF).
After a service led by Archbishop Anthony Muheria, family members and selected VIPs gathered at Kibaki’s Othaya home for a brief ceremony.
At the gravesite, church leaders performed the last rite before military officers lowered Kibaki’s casket to the grave.
Priests then threw soil on it shortly before family members, led by Jimmy Kibaki, were given a chance to throw soil into the grave as well.
Wheb Sean Andrew’s turn came, he uniquely paid his last respect.
The young man took a spade from a military officer, poured the soil into the grave.
However, before leaving the gravesite, the model removed a ring from his index finger and threw it inside the grave.
This is not the first time Sean is honouring his late grandfather uniquely.
Following his demise, the model changed his profile photo on all his social media platforms.
He replaced them with a blackout photo.
