Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has been leading from the front efforts to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus in his country.
As such, Museveni has been captured on video showing his countrymen how to exercise indoors during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Now, the Ugandan leader has released another video in which he demonstrates how an individual can survive optimally during this period of the pandemic.
According to the Ugandan leader, he went out of his way to find out how an individual could consume 1kg relief maize meal flour being distributed by the government as part of relief efforts.
Museveni said he had consultations with scientists who said a 250 gram of maize meal (ugali) had enough calories for a day.
“I had earlier consulted scientists on how much food calories an individual can consume in a single day sustainably and they said 250g of posho would be of enough calorie composition for a single individual intake,”
He further called on the Ugandans to adjust their feeding habits in regards to the ongoing pandemic.
“Now is the food being distributed enough? It is optimum, if we can ration the intake with mind that we can not consume as much as we have always wanted, but can survive on an economical consumption,” he said.
