MP accidentally appears naked while attending parliament’s Zoom meeting

Canadian Member of Parliament William Amos accidentally appeared naked during a parliamentary zoom call.

The Quebec MP, was changing clothes before his laptop’s camera turned on. Amos stood between Quebec and Canada flags and could be seen trying to cover his genitals with his mobile phone.

The meeting which was held on Wednesday, was broadcasted to the public but Amos was only visible to an internal House of Commons because at that moment he was quite.

The Liberal party MP has since apologised terming the incident an unfortunate mistake.

“I made a really unfortunate mistake today & obviously I’m embarrassed by it,” the 46-year-old tweeted late Wednesday after the incident in his office was made public.

“My camera was accidentally left on as I changed into work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to all my colleagues in the House. It was an honest mistake + it won’t happen again.

There is no dress code needed according to the Rules of Order and Decorum’ but “must be wearing contemporary business attire” such as jackets, shirts and ties.

The Liberal party leader Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has not yet commented on the unfortunate incident.

Claude DeBellefeuille, Bloc Québécois party whip reminded lawmakers to always cover themselves.

“It may be necessary to remind the members, especially the male ones, that a tie and jacket are obligatory, but so are a shirt, boxer shorts or pants,” she said in French, according to the Canadian Press.

“We have seen that the member is in great physical shape, but I think members should be reminded to be careful and control the camera well.”
