Gatundu South MP Moses
Kuria has banished the possibilities of working with the Azimio La Umoja movement
ahead of the August 9 poll.
The outspoken MP, the
Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader, maintained that under no circumstance would
he entertain the thought of joining the UhuRaila led Azimio La Umoja.
“Mimi niko upande wa
Mungu…huo ndio upande hauwezi niangusha…hakuna siku mimi utanipata kwa
Azimio. Ata nikikufa msinipeleke Azimio…Niko kwa Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) sina
ubaya na mtu,” he said.
Kuria who spoke during
the burial of former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s mother, Monica Njeri
Waititu also urged Kenyans to rally behind Martha Karua who was last year
elected spokesman of the Mt Kenya Unity Forum.
Kuria however maintained his
differences with the Azimio team are only ideological and should not be
mistaken for enmity with anyone.
This comes days after
the Gatundu South legislator said his party would join Azimio La Umoja as long as Raila was not chosen as the coalition’s flag bearer.
