A Nigerian man has elicited mixed reactions after marrying two wives on the same day.
According to a report by BBC News, the man, Uloho Uthuko Samson, said he wanted to achieve what his father failed to achieve.
He argued that since his father married one wife, it was obvious for him to marry two wives.
This, according to Samson, is backed parents always want the best for their children.
One of the wives, Evelyn, said she was happy when Samson told her he wanted to marry two wives, adding that she knew he was a woman I set even before they got married.
She also revealed that she and her co-wife stay in different houses, but Samson spends one week each in his wives’ houses.
Samson’s other wife, Faith, described him as a caring and thoughtful man.
Yinka Age: It’s all about money and pride. And it makes alot of sense in a country with no form of welfare. If you’re on your own and have no form of income. You will surely suffer. And culturally its acceptable
Helen Agbe: The only reason why they both agreed to the marriage is because the man gives them money. My gender can actually do better tho. Some of them are just lazy and want to always depend on men. When they were asked why they love the man,the only thing they said was that he gives them anything they want
Prince Onehirena: This problem started from dating two ladies at a time and both of the ladies are aware of it, now you want to marry who will be left behind? So you must marry both of us. Guys should learn how to appreciate one woman so that your children will not be blaming their uncle for not helping them later
Ebere Anyichie: You should be bigger than your father in wealth, wisdom, education, investment etc not in marriage. Get wisdom man.
