Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna is insisting that ODM leader Raila Odinga will not be president in the forthcoming August 9 General Elections.
In a statement on Thursday, February 24, the lawyer stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta made it impossible for the former Prime Minister to win the contest by endorsing him.
Miguna termed Uhuru the most unpopular president since independence, noting his endorsement has no much impact for Raila’s candidature.
“The path is muddy and not very clear at all, if anything, Uhuru has made it completely impossible for Raila to become president of Kenya
“An endorsement from the most unpopular president since independence is not a good thing for anyone running for President,” Miguna said.
The lawyer also revealed his intentions to contest for the Nairobi governor’s seat in the August 9 General Elections after losing the seat to former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko in 2017.
Speaking in an interview on KTN News, Miguna said he will soon reveal the political party that he will use to vie in his second attempt to clinch the county’s top seat.
“I will be running on a party yet to be declared. Wait for the announcement. If I change my mind I will let you know,” he said.
On his travel restriction, Miguna said that he was still waiting for the court ruling to determine his case and facilitate his travel to the country.
