Miguna Hails DP Ruto for Picking Rigathi Gachagua as Running Mate: ‘Dynamite’

Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has hailed Deputy President William Ruto for picking Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagu as his running mate.

Reacting to the news, the lawyer who was deported to Canada in 2018 heaped praises on Gachagua for his confidence and eloquence.

“Dynamite. That’s Rigathi Gachagua. Resolute. Fearless. Eloquent. Self-assured. He has impressed me for 4 years

“Kenya deserves a DP who will speak his mind publicly and privately. William Ruto deserves a DP who won’t kneel down before him. Congratulations, Gachagua,” Miguna said.

Miguna maintained that the MP was the perfect pick for the job and he is in a better position to neutralize President Uhuru Kenyatta’s influence in the Mt Kenya Region.

“With the fearless Rigathi Gachagua as William Ruto’s running mate, it’s game over for despot Uhuru Kenyatta and conman Raila Odinga

“No more opportunities for PR, propaganda and machinations in Mount Kenya. No chances for orchestrated rebellions among the Agikuyu,” he added.

Gachagua was unveiled as Kenya Kwanza running mate in a presser on Sunday, May 15 at DP Ruto’s official residence in Karen.

The MP’s appointment as Ruto’s running mate in the August 9 General Elections followed a church service led by Mama Rachel Ruto.

While making the announcement, Ruto described the outspoken lawmaker as a successful elected politician and businessman and a living representation of a true hustler.

Gachagua emerged the best among other candidates who were being considered for the position including Kindiki, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru.
