Mercy Masika’s Daughter Leads Worship in Church (VIDEO)

Gospel singer Mercy Masika recently celebrated her daughter, Renish who appears to be following in her footsteps.

Through her social media pages, the singer celebrated her daughter and shared a video of her leading the worship team during a recent church service. 

Dressed in an ocean-blue top and a white pair of trousers, Renish sang her heart out as Masika who was beside her watched intently in excitement. 

“My fire piece and my firstborn, to the Lord she belongs and forever for His glory. We will not settle for less at any time. We love min @ranise_gm and we thank you salt and light,” Masika captioned the video.  

The video sparked reactions with netizens commending the singer for raising her daughter in the ways of Christ.

This comes months after Masika recalled the days she was starting her music journey with a throwback picture.

Taking to her social media pages, the crooner shared a TBT photo of herself on a vintage cassette album noting it was second and she was in Grade 6. 

In the photo, the singer was in her younger self and rocked a perfect afro.

“This was me in 6th grade and this was my second album(cassette). I did not come here to play. One of the songs in this album was titled “I came on business for the King”. I am grateful.” 

Mercy Masika comes from a singing family, with her mother having recorded one of the biggest hits in the 1990’s, Huyu Yesu.

Her father is also a pastor and the three trio would tour various parts of Kenya, ministering in churches in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
