Celebrated genge artist Mejja Okwonkwo has spoken after his latest hit song dubbed tabia za wakenya was pulled down from YouTube following a copyright strike.
The song was deleted from YouTube after an upcoming artist complained the the singer stole parts of his music.
Taking to his Instagram account, Mejja said that his song had no similarities with any the alleged sampled song.
According to the singer, the actions are of those who hate seeing him make big moves and and want to bring him down day by day.
“I am dealing with a lot of hate. I will never give in. But I am done being the humble guy,” he stated.
He was also irked by YouTube’s rules owing to the fact that Tabia Za Wakenya would be re-uploaded two weeks later
“God is with me. You can slow me down, but I am not giving in. God above everything,” he concluded.
Tabia za wakenya is his second song to be pulled down from YouTube over copyright claims.
His song dubbed Naitwa Mejja which he had featured Nasha Travis was pulled down from YouTube on May 1.
He, however agreed that he had sampled the beat from another artist.
