Gatundu South parliamentary seat aspirant Martin Mwaniki is dead.
The acclaimed businessman met his death in a grisly road accident on the evening of Wednesday, March 16, in Roysambu, Nairobi county.
In the incident, Mwaniki, who was reportedly driving while tipsy, crashed into a stationary lorry and died on the spot.
At the time of the accident, the deceased was driving solo in his sleek black Mercedes-Benz, which was written off following the deadly impact.
Images of the ill-fated vehicle seen by GOTTA.news indicated how badly the vehicle crashed.

The tycoon was seeking to succeed incumbent Moses Kuria in the forthcoming August 9 General Election on the ruling Jubilee Party ticket.
Mwaniki made headlines in 2021 when he claimed that he was the owner of the bottom-up economic model tag which has since been adopted by Deputy President William Ruto.
A section of Kenyans took to social media to mourn the businessman.
Inviolata Favour said: “May God protect his people even as we head to the election. We speak the blood of Jesus upon every bloodshed.May his soul rest in peace.”
Vicky Moses said: “So sorry for the loss… May the Lord comfort his family through the time. May he rest easy.”
Eliud Mwangi said: ” You will hear people say someone had a hand in his death…may he rest in peace.”
Maryann Wanjiru said: “Rest in peace Marto, it’s still hard to believe that you are no more. But you indeed lived a fulfilling life. Condolences to your family.”
