Man buys KSh 2800 sofa online, discovers it is a toy after delivery

It is always risky purchasing goods online especially when you have not seen the item your placing an order for.

Recently, in an interesting story, a Ghanian man was quick order a sofa online because it was being sold at a low price.

Narrating the story, his friend Adu Kabena Alfred said that he saw a nice sofa on Jumia being sold at KSh 2,800 and quickly knew it was a great opportunity.

Just as usual, the product took over a month being processed and when it arrived he was left mouth agape.

What he expected to be delivered in a pick up or a lorry was wrapped up in a box and delivered by a motorcycle.

The incident has elicited hilarious reactions online with many agreeing that one should be careful when making orders online.

Makuh Wussah: So he wanted to buy a whole sofa for 150cedis? It would’ve finished even before they decide to advertise.”

Angeline Tugah: Can’t stop laughing…. I ordered kids tablet for my son and they brought me a toy tablet.”

In a similar story, a man ordered a travelling bag online only to receive a mini box for dolls.

the man using Twitter handle @EvansTed101 was bashed for not reading the description of the product before ordering it.

“I go order traveling box online see wetin dem bring come for me,” he wrote.
