A 21-year-old man named Vincent Mboya has been slammed by netizens online for announcing he is refunding KSh 18,000 handed by Jalang’o to clear his rent arrears.
Mboya came out public on Friday, August 27 asking Jalang’o to go collect his money and should do it within 48 hours.
The young man has since fallen into the receiving end of Kenyans with many stating he is ungrateful.
Others found fault with him since he had previously begged for the same money when he was about to get evicted from his house.
Netizens reacted massively to his sentiments. Here are some of the comments.
Eunice Auma: “What he saved you from cannot be repaid for it cannot be quantified. Be a humble young man and work hard so that you can be self-reliant and also help others.”
George Kayo: “He was needy and poor at the time, let him use whatever he has to grow and not prove a point as for the belittling. It could be wise if he turned it into a self-motivation mantra.”
Kate Mirodho: “If u were so able on your own why didn’t you pay it directly to the landlord back then? Arrogance is bad.”
Kennedy Osingo: “In my experience, this young man is really ungrateful and full of pride.” Hon Alinur Mohamed said: “Some people don’t deserve any help at all. The people you helped talk bad always.”
