Lulu Hassan expresses gratitude after sharing special dinner with President Suluhu – PHOTOS

Citizen TV Swahili news anchor Lulu Hassan alongside other muslim women joined Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu for Iftar at State House, Nairobi on Tuesday evening, May 5.

Iftar which is the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during Ramadan was hled in an star studded setring setting in State House.

Among those who got an invitation to attend the event was Lulu who thanked Suluhu and former colleague who doubles up as State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena for organising the special evening for Muslim women.

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much. Thank you Samia Suluhu and Kanze Dena,” wrote Lulu.

Other Muslim women who attended the event included Sports CS Amina Mohamed, former PS Fatuma Hirsi and Kwale Woman Representative Zulekha Hassan.

The meal was shared moments before State Banquet hosted in her honour by President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

Speaking during the State Banquet, Suluhu vowed to to strengthen historical ties between the two nations especially in economic cooperation.

“As you are aware in the current world, relations between nations are based on economics. All other issues will naturally fall in place because of our blood relations but economically we need to layout sound policies to build strong economies,” she said.
