A woman from Kirinyaga County named Grace Wambui who suffered three miscarriage is celebrating after welcoming triplets.
The 32-year-old mother delivered babies Sharteen Nyakio, Shantel Nyambura and Sharon Nyawira at the Kerugoya Referral Hospital.
The babies weighed 1.57kg, 1.57kg and 1.56kg, respectively.
Speaking with Daily Nation, Wambui a mother of a 12-year-old girl revealed that she struggled for years looking for only one more child until the recent blessings.
“I could not believe it until I saw them. I was the told the babies were in good condition, but they had to remain in the incubators for a whole month until each attained a weight of two kilogrammes,” she told Daily Nation.
The mother of four even though happy about the blessings, said she does not have permanent income revealing her and their father do menial jobs and taking care of the children might be a big problem.
Wambui pleaded with Kenyans of goodwill to offer her a good job so that she can raise her kids.
She also noted that she dropped out of school after she partly became blind.
Wambui’s husband revealed that they live at one of their in-law’s home.
“What we need most at the moment are milk and clothes,” Wambui pleaded.
