A woman recently celebrated a bus driver after returning her mother’s purse that she had misplaced.
According to Mellisa De Witte, her mother had forgot her purse in her car’s boot and when she drove off the pursue containing her personal stuff fell down.
Upon arrival at their destination, they realised they did not have the handbag and immediately started tracking her mother’s phone that was in the handbag.
“We started tracking the phone and saw the handbag moving around the screen, and we were watching it over the evening. At first, we thought it was an Uber driver,” she said.
After a while, they realized the bus was moving along route that she used to take 20 years back when going to school and so they made their way to the bus station.
They met the driver, Djiby Sow and to confirm if the handbag was theirs, he asked some questions.
“He asked verifying questions to make sure he was giving it to the right person. He could not have been nicer,” she added.
Sow on his side explained that she picked the hand bag with the intention of handing it over to the bus company at the end of his shift.
“As soon as they found me, they couldn’t believe it. They were so excited and happy, and they were really good people. I’m so glad I was able to meet those types of people on my birthday,” Sow said.
According to Melissa, Sow refused to take a reward for picking the handbag but she later posted a birthday message on Twitter to celebrate him.
