KFC offers Ugali after running out of chips

Kentucky Fried Chicken popularly known in Kenya as KFC recently offered its clients alternative swap options after running out of fries in their stores.

In a statement, that American fast food company attributed the shortage of fries to an influx of orders during the Christms holiday and New Year celebrations.

In their statement, KFC also apologised to it’s clients noting that its team is working towards resolving the issue.

“Fam it was truly a Furaha December. Mlikula sherehe with your KFC faves. Ya’ll loved our chips a little too much, and we’ve run out. Sorry! Our team is working hard to resolve the issue,” said the company,” KFC said in their statement.

Alternatively, the company offered its customers other swap options including chicken, snack bun, drinks, coleslaw and Ugali.

KFC reportedly imports potatoes from the Netherlands, South Africa, Egypt and other countries as opposed to sourcing them locally.

The company maintain that they import potatoes to ensure global standards are met across their outlets
