Kenyans react to Shaffie Weru’s KSh 682k monthly salary

Fired Homeboyz Radio presenter Shaffie Weru is not only trending on social media over his controversial comments against women but also over the monthly salary he used to bag.

A week past, the radio host has been on the receiving end after he made offensive remarks against a woman thrown off a 12-floor building by her Facebook date.

The controversial comments made on Homeboyz Radio morning show hosted by Shaffie Weru, Dj Joe Mfalme and Neville Musya led to suspension of all advertisements by East African Breweries (EABL).

The EABL stated that it highly discourages any kind of gender shaming and negative portrayal on all its advertisements.

With the while incident that tarnished the station’s reputation, the employer came to a decision to terminate Shaffie’s contract and fired his colleagues.

The ontroversial radio presenter the opted to sue Radio Africa Group over unfair and unlawful dismissal.

He demanded to be paid KSh 682,500 which is his gross monthly salary, thus 12 months salary of KSh 8.1 million and gratuity KSh 682,500 for every year of service total to KSh 21.1 million

Shaffie’s enormous salary which he disclosed was 628,000 per month left Kenyans talking.

Kenyans could not believe their eyes and some even said they went for wrong careers.

The online community agreed that if they get such salary per month their life would change for the better.
