A set of triplets from Kajiado County have stunned many after excelling in the just-released 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
In a report on a local TV station, Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego Solonka who sat for exams at Iltilal Primary School all managed to score above 400 marks in the national exams.
The triplets scored 412, 408 and 401 marks respectively.
Shadrack disclosed that they lived at the headteacher’s house since the school had no boarding school facilities, further sending a huge shout out to their parents.
“We used to stay at the headteacher’s place because there was no boarding. The headteacher decided to give us a place to stay so we could be close to the school
“We also thank our parents who made sure we never missed school,” he said.
The triplets hope to join the same school for their secondary school education.
As earlier reported, 31-year-old Amelia Jacobeth Liabule who has been behind bars for a year and facing a murder charge stunned many after scoring 402 marks in the KCPE exams.
Liabule said after being thrown behind bars, she decided to focus on positive things and as such, she used her free time to study and prepare for the KCPE exams.
She attributed her success in the exams to determination and hard work.
“The library at the prison has very few books and our teacher has been sparing time to ensure that we were focused and worked hard during our preparations for the exam,” Liabule said.
