Kalonzo Strongly Hints at Leaving Azimio if Not Named Raila’s Running Mate

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has hinted at leaving Azimio One Kenya coalition should former Prime Minister Raila Odinga pick another running mate.

Kalonzo insists that he must deputize Raila in the August 9 General Elections.

In a recent interview, the Wiper leader said Deputy President William Ruto will be the huge beneficiary should Raila turn down his request.

Kalonzo noted that he was waiting for Raila’s decision on the same so that he could decide the way forward, he further dismissed the ongoing interviews for Azimio running mate.

“If I am not picked, its obvious that all the votes due unto me may troop to Ruto’s direction, is that what they want? It’s rather obvious,” he said in an interview with Athiani FM.

The former a Vice President added that if Raila doesn’t pick him as his running mate, the latter might never be president in his entire life.

Kalonzo argued that if Raila settles for another person for the job, it would be clear that some people within his quarters are against his presidential bid.

“Either the devils are walking among them, or they do not want him to become President. In fact, the moment they don’t pick me, it will confirm to me that some people do not want Raila to ever become a president in his life,” he argued.
