Jubilee Removes DP Ruto as Deputy Party Leader

Deputy President William Ruto will no longer serve as Jubilee Party deputy party leader. 

The DP was removed from the deputy party position following the party’s National Delegates Convention held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Saturday, February 26. 

President Uhuru Kenyatta was retained as party boss. 

Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni has been named the new Secretary General, replacing Raphael Tuju who left to pursue other political enhancements. .

Kioni will be deputised by Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny replacing ousted Soy MP Caleb Kositany.

Kanini Kega and Rachel Nyamai have been handed the director and deputy director of elections positions respectively while Fatuma Gedi and Mulembe Mundalo have been named the national women’s league and youth league chairpersons respectively.

 Kitutu Chache MP Jimmy Angwenyi, alongside Kinoti Gatobu, Naomi Shabaan and Peter Mositet have been named Deputy Party Leaders in charge of Strategy, Operations, Outreach and Programmes respectively.

David Murathe was retained as Deputy Chairperson under National Chairperson Nelson Dzuya, while Adan Keynan and Kagwe Gichohi have been named the party’s Parliamentary Secretary and National Treasurer respectively.
