Jeff Koinange renames library he founded after late Kibra MP Ken Okoth

The memory of the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth will linger long in the minds of Kibra residents and Kenyans in general.

A dutiful leader, the late MP who succumbed to cancer on July 26, 2018, left a mark of development projects in his constituency including an ultra-modern school among other development initiatives.

Journalist Jeff Koinange is one person who was so inspired by Okoth’s actions that he has decided to rename a library he founded after the late MP.

On Saturday, August 31 Jeff took to Facebook recounting how the late MP challenged him to start a library at Mbagathi High School and even have it named Jeff Koinange Library.

Jeff disclosed he had started stacking library shelves with books and had gone ahead to rename the library Ken Okoth’s library.

“Folks…Almost TWO years ago, former KIBRA MP, the LATE Ken Okoth CHALLENGED me on the BENCH to build a LIBRARY for the kids at MBAGATHI High School!!…He called it the “JEFF KOINANGE LIBRARY”…Today, we have started STACKING the shelves with books and on TOP of that…RENAME the library the “KEN OKOTH MEMORIAL LIBRARY,” wrote Jeff.

Late Ken Okoth is credited for initiating development projects in the constituency and helping needy but bright children to pursue education.
