Kiss FM radio presenter Felix Odiwour, alias Jalang’o has landed a lucrative job with the government.
Through his Instagram page, the radio presenter disclosed that he has been confirmed as the official host of forthcoming Madaraka Day celebrations.
This year’s annual celebration will be held in Kisumu County.
“Sealed and confirmed! Madaraka Day official host! Is Heavy J Baba! See you in Kisumu! Thanks to a father and a mentor in protocols and High End events! Bw. Peter Wanjohi,” wrote Jalang’o.
Earlier, the Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC) had released a list of Kenyan musicians set to perform at the event.
They include Suzanne Owiyo, Dr Osito Kale, Dola Kabarry, Apesi Mnyama Mkali, Musa Jakadala, Freddy Jakodongo, Koffi Mac Adory and Aluoch Pamba.
Only 3,000 people will be allowed to attend the event at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo.
In a report done by GOTTA.news, Jalang’o revealed that he will be running for a public office in the 2022 General Election.
Speaking during an interview with radio presenter Billy Miya in July 2020, the comedian and show host revealed that he will vie for the Langata parliamentary seat.
“You are looking at Lang’ata MP, I am not incoming, when they mention MPs names, know that you will hear Jalang’o Jalang’o,” he said.
On why he has decided to run for a public office, Jalang’o said he was tired of crying for change yet he can make the change himself.
“It is hard for a common mwananchi to bring that change we are all looking for but not for a politician. It is easy to bring that change if you are in politics and not out,” he said.
