Jalang’o would be vying for the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat.

“We are about to hang up the boots and take a new challenge. But we can’t just drop the mic… I need to pass it to the next Jalang’o,” reads part of his message.

Speaking in a previous episode on his Bonga Na Jalas YouTube series, Jalang’o said he will be tendering in his resignation letter on February 9, 2022.

He explained that he will be forced to leave the station as dictated by the Kenyan electoral laws which demand one to resign from their official jobs as they join politics.

Jalang’o noted that he will resume campaigns immediately after leaving Kiss 100 in a bid to secure the Langata Parliamentary seat in the upcoming General Election.

”Get ready to replace me when I leave Kiss. I will be leaving on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.” Jalang’o told MCA Tricky.

Jalang’o announced plans to vie for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat in May 2021.

“I am going to be the next MP for Langata. Youth change your votes. Come and vote for us to build a new Langata. I am campaigning for myself. I am very serious; I am the next MP of Langata. Mark this day!” he said a while back.

In 2020, the Kiss FM presenter graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development from Daystar University in Nairobi which is tied to his political ambitions.

Lang’ata has so far attracted a lot of interest with several aspirants seeking to unseat the current MP Nixon Korir in 2022.
