We had no option but to report the matter to the police. My brother was fit, well and going about his activities as usual and therefore we cannot understand why and how he just fell ill and died,” Jalang’o said.

According to Jalang’o, the late Jakoyo was very cautious about Covid-19 since its onset and had limited his movements and interactions with the public.

The brother disclosed that he only exercised every day with his Gem residency.

Jalang’o complained that it was weird how he passed away suddenly having led such a health lifestyle.

The family’s complains came a day before the body of the late underwent a postmortem to establish the cause for his death.

The scheduled postmortem will take place at the Lee Funeral Home where the deceased body has been preserved.

The former lawmaker passed on on Saturday, June 12 at the Nairobi Hospital where he was rushed after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Reports indicate that Midiwo was doing fine at the Nairobi Hospital and even conversed with those who visited him.

Hours later the deceased suffered acute renal failure and was put in on a dialysis machine while doctors tried to understand how that happened.

For the last one year, he never complained to me of any ailment and we are actually concerned why he would have an acute kidney failure of sudden onset,” said Jalang’o.

His death came at a time when he was celebrating his children who performed well academically.
