Homa Bay night runner has blamed Education CS George Magoha for failing his Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Education in 2019.
In an interview with the Nairobian, Jack Songo disclosed that he sat for the exams in 2019 and scored a C-.
However, he noted that he would have performed better if CS Magoha and the Kenyan National Examination Council (KNEC) could have allowed him to sit the papers at night.
Songo said he had requested to sit for the exams at night but they did not listen to him, adding that he could not see clearly at night.
“Our creativity and productivity as night runners is best at night and not in broad daylight like everyone else and that I why I told them to allow me to sit for the exams at night, but they refused
“I am sure I would’ve passed if I did exams at night, as per my request, because that is when I’m active and see things clearly,” he said.
Songo further claimed that following the completion of his secondary school education, he has been denied chances to join technical colleges several times.
“I have applied like the three institutions since I want to do a technical course, but I have always been rejected because I am a night runner and this is what is always happening to all night runners and even their children,” he said.
